Massage and bodywork
I have been trained in Swedish (relaxation) massage, remedial massage, and bodywork. Firstly, I incorporate relaxation and remedial together. I can't help myself. If you want "remedial" (usually to treat a certain issue in a certain place), the best way to receive it is in a state of relaxation, so that greater healing can occur. If you want relaxation and I come across some congestion in your soft tissues (and I always do), it will help you relax later if I do some remedial work on it now. And I can't help throwing in bit of bodywork, 'cos that's my thing. :-)

Some widely accepted benefits of massage are: It increases circulation, which helps to speed up the healing process and repair damaged tissue. It reduces emotional and physical stress – reducing cortisol (stress hormone) and increasing happy hormones. And it releases muscle tension in tight and overworked muscles. It also can increase metabolism, help to move waste products from the body, reduce cellulite and decrease signs of ageing.

What is bodywork?

That is not so easy to answer. Some say bodywork is "therapies and techniques in complementary medicine that involve touching or manipulating the body."1 Others say "massage therapy is just one form of bodywork that is used to address muscular issues."2 And I say, bodywork takes massage a step further. It involves "checking-in" with your physical and emotional self, communicating and working more with your practitioner, and releasing energy blockages. It might not be as "routine" as a conventional massage treatment. In Hawaiian "Kahuna" massage/ bodywork, the quality of your treatment is also influenced by the lifestyle, diet, and spiritual practice of your practitioner. Bodywork goes beyond the systems of muscles, bones, and soft tissues, into the connection with your mental, emotional, and energetic systems (e.g. Chi and Chinese meridians.)
Cuddle and touch therapy

Who needs a cuddle?
Everyone, including you! Maybe if you are single, your family lives elsewhere, and your friends aren’t very affectionate, you might not be getting enough touch in your life. Regardless of your circumstances, you might feel a need for more affection than you currently receive. It would be fantastic if we lived in a perfect world where you could ask people in your life for more touch with your interactions, but maybe they are not comfortable with the amount of touch that you want. There is nothing wrong with having a cuddle provider. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be held. I believe it is far better to connect affectionately with someone rather than suppress your needs and try and convince yourself that you aren’t human.

What types of cuddling are acceptable?
Firstly, please be aware that this is not a sexual service. Inappropriate touching in intimate zones is not tolerated, and will end your session without refund with no booking again. This is an agenda-free, mindful practice where I “hold space” for you and give you loving, platonic, physical contact with another person. We can enjoy touching through such activities as
-
dancing
-
snuggling on the couch watching a movie
-
holding hands and talking, walking
-
sitting back to back on the floor, singing songs, playing music
-
spooning on a bed having a nap.
